Fundamentals of aphid control on cereals

On the basis of research carried out till now 40 aphids species have been found in Poland on cereals and grasses. Two of them occur widely: Rhopalosiphum padi L. and Sitobion avenae F. It was found that the application of fungicides and herbicides exerted a stimulatory effect on aphid development. The efficacy of three insecticides: Decis 2,5 EC, Fastac 10 EC, and Pirimor 50 DP in aphid control on wheat crops was tested. All insecticides showed a satisfactory efficacy against aphids
