The activity of total and selenium-dependent glutathione peroxidase was strongly associated with the individual variability of bulls. No differences in the content of a reduced glutathione in spermatozoa and semen plasma were found between particular animals. It could appear that individual differences in glutathione peroxidase activity is conditioned genetically
