The paper deals with the effect of preparation Decis 2,5 EC on ants applied during chemical control of Lymantria monacha. It is stated that for ant workers present in the crowns during the treatment the quantity of the preparation is mortal whereas for the ants being around the nests and inside them the quantity of falling deltamethrin is not dangerous and does not exceed 5%. It is pointed out that the repetition of treatments in the same area during succesive yea1282rs could be poisonous for ants. It would therefore be advisable that anthills should be physically protected during control treatments and ants supplementary should be fed immediately after the treat
