Yield and nutritive value of winter rye forage harvested at two stages of vegetation

No significant differences in the digestibility and nutrient and mineral content between 6 varieties of winter rye were observed. A significant effect of region and year of cultivation on the yields and nutrient content in the rye forage was stated. Correlations between dry matter yield and the height of plants at the elongated stage of vegetation were significant and those ones at head emergence stage of rye development were insignificant
