Effects of some toxic substances on Macrobrachium lanchesteri de Man and aquatic environments

Six toxic substances were tested on shrimp (Macrobrachium lanchesteri de Man) in aquarium. The results indicated that the mortalitites of shrimp, Macrobrachium lanchesteri, were higher in methomyl than in dicofol, maneb, ametryne, sticker, and benzene, respectively. The results also showed many symptoms of irritation and in1165toxication on shrimps. Ametryne and sticker were able to dissolve mucous substance of shrimp.
