At the Jastrebac forest range (Yugoslavia) there was performed an experiment with two proveniences of the black pine originating from the limy soil and hairpin-bends and planted in the area with the geological base of crystal slate. On the basis of the results obtained by investigating the plants1526 survival and measuring the height and diameter, it could be concluded that the plants of the limy soil provenience, at the age of 4 showed better growth and development in the conditions of the natural site of the Jastrebac mount
