Studies on densely planted apples in the region of Bijelo Polje (S.R. Montenegro) [Yugoslavia]

The investigation dealt with seven apple sorts densely planted on the MM 106 vegetative bed in the form of the pillar crown. Dense apple planting is applied for the first time in this mountainous region in the S.R. Montenegro (Yugoslavia). The annual shoot growth was very good. Rooting was very good, as well. The sorts - "Prima", "Red Griv", "Neuman" and "Indared" are recommended for growing in this region. Other sorts manifested a number of disadvantages.
