Effect of K and seed size on yield and quality of shallot. The treatments consisted of 12 combinations of 3 levels of K (0; 50; 100 kg/ha K2O), two sizes of seed bulb, and two varieties, Ampenan and Medan, using randomized block design with three replications. Fertilizer dosage of 100; 100, and 50 kg/ha of N, P2O5 and K2O respectively using large seed tubers produced highest yield. Ampenan yielded better than Medan. There was no effect of the treatments on bulb diameter, bulb specific gravity and N, P, K, and S content in the bulb
