Japanese citroen (C. nobilis Lour. hybr.) was used as rootstock. The seedling was budded at 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm and 30 cm above root collar by "Pacitan" orange scion. The prior growth of the budded tree was influenced by the budding height, but later on, especially at 36 weeks after budding, the height of shoot, number of leaves and diameter of shoot were not influenced by budding height.
