Multiple cropping on Chrysanthemum morifolium L. for controlling fungal pathogens
1986
Marwoto, B. (Balai Penelitian Hortikultura Lembang (Indonesia)) | Djatnika, I.
In order to decrease the use of fungicide on Chrysanthemum for fungal diseases, cultural technique was used in this research as a treatment. This method was conducted by planting Chrysanthemum mixcropping with other plants such as Tagetes sp., caisin (Brassica campestris ssp. chinensis and corn (Zea mays). Fungicide was used as a control. It used Randomized Block Design with 6 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that vegetative growth of Chrysanthemum planted together with Tagetes was the highest, but did not inhibit the intensity of fungal pathogens (Septoria sp., Diplodia sp., and Fusarium sp.). Mixcropping Chrysanthemum, Tagetes and caisin was able to decrease Diplodia sp. and Fusarium sp. attacks and it was significantly different with fungicide treatment.
