On the distribution of liquid manure

In a field test stand, six distribution systems for liquid manure with pump type trailer tanks were tested for their precision in lateral and longitudinal distribution. For work saving and soil protective reasons, the working width should be at least 12 m. The operational reliability, shown in the results' repeatability, of the individual results was of particular interest. In addition, the spreading quality, as influenced by different substrates with variable solid contents, was examined. The spreading devices must be adjusted according to the type and consistency of the liquid manure and the planned application quantity. Hereby it was shown that more expensive and technically more sophisticated equipment was not necessarily an improvement in distribution quality.
