Bulk blended fertilizers - a progress?

Particle size, nutrient content fertilizer and nutrient distribution of mechanically mixed fertilizers were tested in comparison to complete fertilizers under field conditions. The variation in lateral distribution of bulk blending products concerning nutrient contents and fertilizer amounts is high. Differences in nutrient content in connection with varying lateral distribution of the bulk blending fertilizer lead to variation coefficients of nearly 40 % for all nutrients. In this case yield deficits exceed the profit of bulk blending.
