German. Es wird ueber die Haltung von Schottischen Hochlandrindern im Frankenwald zur Offenhaltung der brachgefallenen Flaechen berichtet. Es sind sehr genuegsame und robuste Tiere, die keine Winterbehausung benoetigen. Im Winter erhalten die Tiere in einem Futterwagen Heu und Stroh, Kraftfutter bekommen nur die Kaelber. Der Absatz der Mast-und Zuchttiere ist gesichert.
