[Effects of gonadotropin and PGF2A hormones on induction of estrus, service period, and service per conception in native ewes]

The effect of PGF2A and gonadotropin hormones on induction of estrus, service period and service per conception were studied in 20 native ewe. The results showed that the PMSG + PGF2A and PMSG + PGF2A + HCG treated animal had significantly (P 0,05) shorter estrous induction compared to the PGF2A + HCG and control treated animal groups (32.75 and 30.74 hours Vs 49.29 and 52.25 hours, respectively). However, the data of service period and service per conception failed to show any significant differences among the four treatment groups P 0.05).
