Several methods for the determination of dry rubber content of field latex have been recognized, but these methods usually have certain disadvantages. Methods which are fast and do not need any expensive equipment are usually less accurate, while accurate methods usually need much more time, expensive equipment and furthermore skilled operators. In this paper several current methods for the determination of the dry rubber content of field latex will be discussed. Methods which are simple, fast, easy and accurate, will be studied for application in the "Nucleus Estate and Smallholder" area.
