A pot experiment was conducted to study the phosphate requirement of the oil palm seedlings based on the use of the isothermic curve of Langmuir. The seedlings were grown on andosol soil taken from Padang Brahrang Estate (Sumatra, Indonesia). The results showed that 1.978 g TSP/kg - 3.955 g TSP/kg soil gave the best results of growth of the seedlings at 9 months old, in terms of height, diameter of the trunk, number of leaves, length of rachis and leaf area.
