On the influence of prolonged storage of a rodenticide for control of the common vole Microtus arvalis (Pall.) on its acceptance and efficacy

Choice tests conducted with groups of the common vole Microtus arvalis (Pallas) using the rodenticide "Lepit-Feldmauskoeder" (a.i.: 0.0075 per cent chlorphacinone) and a standardized feeding-mixture showed no indication that prolonged storage of up to 337 weeks resulted in either reduced attractivity of the grain-bait-formulation of the rodenticide or in diminished efficacy. The results are discussed regarding the possible ecotoxicological risks connected with application in the field
