The effect of clinoptilolite in laying hen rations

In an experiment with layers in single cages, which took 322 days, were admixed 0-1-2-3 % clinoptilolite to the maize-soya basic-rations; the rations were by way of calculation iso-energetic. The performance of the layers weren't significantly influenced by the clinoptilolite-addition. Against that through the clinoptilolite, the water-content of the excrements were, partly caused through the increasing of the ash-content of the excrements, decreased and also the egg-shell stability were in a little scale improved; also, independent of the closes, the high of the egg-white were decreased and the fan-values for the yolk-colour increased.

In einem 322taegigen Versuch mit Legehennen in Einzelkaefighaltung wurden zu Mais-Soja-Grundrationen 0-1-2-3 % Klinoptilotith zugemischt; die Rationen waren rechnerisch isoenergetisch. Die Leistungen der Hennen wurden durch Klinoptilolith-Zusatz nicht signifikant beeinflusst. Dagegen wurde durch Klinoptilolith der Kotwassergehalt, z.T. bedingt durch eine Erhoehung des Kotaschegehaltes, gesenkt und ausserdem die Eischalenstabilitaet in geringem Umfang verbessert, sowie dosisunabhaengig die Eiklarhoehe vermindert und die Faecherwerte fuer die Dotterfarbe erhoeht.
