A study on the performance of both eastate production and smallholders' income was conducted at NES III Project Danau Salak, South Kalimantan by interviewing the NES participants. The results of the study indicated that (1) the productivity of plasm area was higher than that of nucleus due to over exploitation on the rubber trees; (2) participants preferred to produce coagulum rather than latex inspite of latex good price; (3) income contribution earned from food crop area and home yard was quite small because the participants paid more attention to rubber. Income distribution analysis based on income source showed Gini Index 0.191; 0.668 and 0.188 for rubber area, food crop area and home yard, and the whole income respectively.
