The effects of concentration and source of pepper shoot extract on the growth pepper cuttings were studied at the Natar Sub Research Institute for Spices and Medicinal Crops. The treatments consisted of extract concentration: 0, 20, 40, and 60 percent. The extracts were made from climbing shoot and fruiting branches. The treatments were arranged in a randomized block design with 6 replicates. Results showed that the shoot extract of the three concentration tested increased the ability of cutting in producing roots and shoot. Extract from climbing shoot and fruiting branches gave no different effects on the growth of cutting.
