Plants of Kalanchoe collected at Rome, heavily affected by Oidium calanchoeae Luestner, offer a starting point for the description of the morphology of the pathogen, till now recorded in the literature rather summarily. The difference between Erysiphe orontii cast., often also found on this host, and O. calanchoeae is discussed. For the description, new parameters (area, perimeter, Form Pe., Form Ar.) of the conidia and appressoria are given

Piante di Kalanchoe, raccolte a Roma, fortemente attaccate da Oidium calanchoeae Luestner, offrono lo spunto per descrivere la morfologia del fungo, finora riportata dalla letteratura in modo alquanto sommario. Inoltre si ribadisce la distinzione tra Erysiphe orontii Cast., anch'essa spesso trovata su questa matrice, e O. calanchoeae, spesso confusi l'un con l'altro.
