English. An important means in selecting superior phenotypes and in estimating genetic gains in breeding programs is using appropriate data sheets. The Authors propose one of them realised for walnut (Juglans regia L.) and wild cherry (Prunus avium L.) that was tested using an high number of individuals. It seems to be objective in scoring of characters and consequently in selecting superior trees. The use of the sheet is not for general application on all species, but can be employed for a large number of broadleaves

Uno strumento importante per la selezione fenotipica e per la stima del guadagno genetico nei programmi di miglioramento e' l'uso di schede per la selezione di individui superiori. Gli autori ne propongono una, realizzata per noce comune e ciliegio selvatico che, collaudata su un elevato numero di esemplari, consente di effettuare con un buon grado di obiettivita' l'attribuzione di punteggi ai vari caratteri e la conseguente scelta del fenotipo superiore. La scheda non e' utilizzabile per ogni specie, ma, adeguandola di volta in volta, puo' essere considerata valida per le latifoglie
