[Fungal alterations on timber for industry in Piedmont [Italy]]

A survey has been conducted on the funghi which causes alterations in the wood processed in companies which, due to the type and volume of product processed or commercialized, can be assumed as representative of the Piedmontese situation which is characterized by a high concentration of wood-processing industries. The work is divided into two parts, which corresponds to the successive phases in which the survey has been conducted: the first part provides a brief description of the industrial sector through the processing of data acquired by means of a questionnaire subjected to the operators of a small number of woodprocessing companies; the second part contains a list of fungus species, the wood species on which they have found, and the most important types of alterations examined

E' stato effettuato un campionamento dei funghi agenti di alterazioni del legname in imprese che, per tipologia e volume di prodotto lavorato o commerciato, possono ritenersi rappresentative della situazione piemontese, caratterizzata da alta concentrazione di industrie del settore. Il lavoro si articola in due parti, corrispondenti alle fasi successive in cui si e' svolta l'indagine: nella prima parte si fornisce una succinta descrizione del settore, attraverso l'elaborazione di dati acquisiti con un questionario sottoposto agli operatori di un limitato numero di aziende di trasformazione, nella seconda parte si elencano le specie fungine, le specie legnose su cui queste sono state reperite e piu' importanti tipi di alterazioni riscontrate
