German. Aus dem N-Modell hERMES wird der Modellbereich zur Simulation von Pflanzenwachstum und N-Aufnahme naeher beschrieben. Im vorliegenden Modellansatz wird die Stickstoffaufnahme durch die Pflanzen im wesentlichen durch drei Komponenten bestimmt: den N-Bedarf als Differenz zwischen aktuellen N-Gehalt zu einem pflanzenentwicklungsabhaengigen maximalen N-Gehalt, der maximalen taeglichen N-Aufnahme pro cm Wurzellaenge sowie dem N-Angebot durch konvektiven und diffusiven Antransport von Nitrat im Boden. Die Wurzellaenge und Verteilung spielt dabei eine entscheidende Rolle. Aufgrund der simulierten Wurzellaenge ergibt sich eine maximale taegliche N-Aufnahme von ca. 7kg N/ha zur Zeit der Bluete. Im Oberboden sind durch die hohe Wurzeldichte auch bei geringen Wassergehalten nur ca. 6 kg N/(ha*10 cm) notwendig, um durch rein diffusiven Antransport die maximale N-Aufnahme zu erreichen. Lediglich im Unterboden kann es bei geringen Wurzeldichten in Trockenphasen zu einer Einschraenkung der N-Aufnahme kommen.
