Contribution to the marine algal Flora of the Mediterranean coasts of Spain

Four species of algae are reported, two of them being new records for the Mediterranean coasts of Spain: Microspongium gelatinosum and Pterosiphonia spinifera. Heterosiphonia crispella and Colpomenia peregrina are new reports for the area fo the Baix Emporda. Geographical distribution of the species and data on their morphology, anatomy and phenology are given together with the ecological conditions of the localities where they have been collected.
