Control of Argentine ant, Linepithema Humile (Mayr), in Western Australia - The past and future
1993
Majer, J.D. (Curtin Univ., Perth (Australia))
Argentine ants affect citrus yields by destroying buds, blooms and fruit. However, their greatest potential impact on productivity results from their homoptera-tending activities. The most recent organochlorine pesticide used was heptachlor, but has been suspended. This paper discusses the consequences of replacing heptachlor with chlorpyrifos.
