The Authors refer the results obtained after the researches on Sarda breed male lambs fed, from birth till 30 days (slaughter weight 8-10 kg), with milk replacers containing different rates of fat (26%, 28%, 30%, 32% of tallow from swine and cattle mixed in equal parts). It was possible to show that the best performances (weight gain, feed conversion and dressing percentages) were obtained when the milk replacer was integrated with a rate of fat of 28%. The use of milk powders with a higher fat content had a negative effect on the health status and on the expression for the productive aptitudes of lambs
