Verification of capillary electrophoresis application [in the seed] in reserve protein analysis of autogamic species [beans]

Capillar electrophoresis application was evaluated in terms of reproducibility and separation efficiency, for reserve protein characterization in autogamic species, such as Phaseolus vulgaris L. After having described two methods for extraction and separation of reserve proteins of seed, the methods were compared both on four pure lines and four commercial lines of P. vulgaris L. and efficiency and reproducibility were evaluated. Obtained results confirmed not only capillary electrophoresis as a valuable tool in reserve protein characterization, but permitted even an evaluation of homogeneity of reserve protein of the selected lines of P. vulgaris
