This paper discusses plant tissue culture techniques and their potential uses for propagating plants. The traditional skills required to propagate plants vegetatively, learned over many centuries, have been improved and extended by modern scientific investigation. Plant propagation by tissue culture is a relatively new and radical departue that utilises the growth of very small plants in aseptic conditions
