The objetives of this work are: describe the topographical anatomie of the regio andominis lateralis, prove a surgical technique utilized in the ruminantia, carry out the necessary care for a satisfactory postoperatory recovery and for the adjustement of the cannula management. Five males were utilized, one of them for dissections and another four for the operation. Following conclusion were reached: anatomics differences can be found in this topographical region related with rumantia, surgical technique was rapid and not expensive, postoperative care was simple and recovery satisfactory, opened cannula required some care and was slow, the technique gives well results in domestic camelids who were adapted very well for this purpose
