Adenoviral intranuclear inclusions in lupinosis-damaged sheep livers

In survey of 165 clinically normal sheep at 12 locations in Western Australia, using an agarose gel immunodiffusion test, 117 (71 percent) had antibodies to the adenoviral group antigen. Uncomplicated adenovirus infection thus does not appear to be associated with obvious clinical disease and is probably of minor importance compared with the hepatitis caused by lupinosis and cycad toxicosis.
