Enzyme composition of Colletotrichum orbiculare as components of Xanthium spp. mycoherbicides [Bathurst burr]
1992
McRae, C.F. (New South Wales Agriculture, Orange (Australia))
Xanthium spinosum (Bathurst burr) is a proclaimed noxious weed in all states in Australia. It is a widespread and serious weed in wool growing areas where the burrs contaminate the wool clip, and it competes with pastures and crops. New South Wales Agriculture is developing a mycoherbicide for use against Bathurst burr, and this report outlines research into one way to improve the formulation of the mycoherbicide based on Colletotrichum orbiculare.
