The CRC [Cooperative Research Centre] for Soil and Land Management's agricultural advisers survey results

A national market research survey on the information needs of 'agricultural advisers' interviewed 200 advisers -government advisers and researchers, private consultants, agribusiness advisers and TAFE and university lecturers. Information drawn from a report on the survey is presented which highlights the most popular journals, the preferred publications according to adviser type and the strong trend towards locally produced publications. While there was considerable variation, the publication most used was Farming Ahead, closely followed by Rural Research and the Australian Journal of Agricultural Research.
