Preliminary experiments on the processing consequences of vegetable matter type [wool]

Preliminary experiments were undertaken to determine the effects of 8 common types of vegetable matter on the resultant contamination of combed sliver. The results are presented in terms of the number of specks of vegetable matter per kg of top for every percent of vegetable matter base. Sampling requirements and operator effects were also considered.
