1988
Hood, R.L. | Beales, C.R. (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, North Ryde (Australia). Div. of Food Processing)
The average biotin content of 24 Australian convenience foods is presented. Biotin concentrations varied from 0.44 microg per 100 g in french fries to 6.92 microg per 100 g in a savoury casserole base. A number of foods with high levels were foods requiring addition of water before consumption. Most convenience foods in the form and quantity eaten would contribute less than 5 microg to the diet.
