The processing prediction of individual sale lots and wool types. [Seminar paper]

Information covering 93 lots was used to study differences in processing behaviour between sale lots and mill blends, and other relationships. In investigating the optimum method for prediction, it has been observed that the form of the distribution of raw wool characteristics differs from that for mill blends. Some success in prediction has been achieved by multiple regression techniques. The predicted processing characteristics for a number of sale lots can successfully be combined to give the corresponding processing characteristic for a mill blend formed from them.
