1994

During 1985-1990 the water temperature and ammonia had a negative impact on the juveniles of carp Cyprinus carpio, silver carp Hypophthalmichthys molitrix and bighead Aristichthys nobilis in the Constanta district farms either directly (intoxications) and indirectly, favoring some infections and parasitic diseases. Under those conditions, the modifications which occurred in fish organisms generally included a decrease of hepatic carbohydrate stocks (0.19 g percent in case of bighead carp infested with Diplostomum spataceum), of haemoglobin (3.76 g percent in case of carp infested with Fimeria cyprini) and number of red cells and total blood proteins (0.76 million/ml blood) and 0.96 g percent respectively, in case of carp affected, by erythrodermatitis.
