1991
Elsol, J.A. (Queensland Dept. of Primary Industries, Brisbane (Australia). Botany Branch)
The diverse land types west from Brisbane to east of the Darling Downs in southeast Queensland are examined, and a guide is provided to the vegetation in and around the Ipswich area. The 1:250 000 map shows vegetation patterns as they were before European settlement, as interpreted by QDPI botanists. 37 types of plant communities are described, and 17 plant community combinations are mapped. The vegetation around the area ranges from tall closed-forest to open woodland and includes mixed eucalyptus vegetation, as well as brigalow and rainforest.
