The present state of forestry nursery management in Slovakia

There is presented the state of forestry nursery management in Slovakia in close connection with reprivatization. The data are compared with characteristics the nursery production state by the end of the 1987. The extent of changes occurring in number, type and area of nurseries as well as in production of plantings at individual subjects managing forest are compared. There are evaluated the data on nature and basic production conditions in all nurseries and nursery centres and they are completed with survey of technological methods applied. There are summarized the main aims of the individual subject in plantings production and expected orientation of forestry nursery management in connection of the forestry development in Slovakia.
