Thermoresistance was investigated in numerous organic matters, growth regulators and vitamins that are used in biological practice as preparations conveniently influencing the growth of plant tissue or are added to nutrient media, and that are subjected to sterilization process before application. The methods of electronic (UV/VIS), infrared (IR) spectroscopy and HPLC chromatography were used to investigate the effect of autoclave sterilization on pure growth factors. The effect of protection of these substances from thermodegradation was neglected but this process may arise after their application to agar solidified media. IR spectroscopy provided for a quality study of thermodegradation of the investigated substances, the methods of UV/VIS spectroscopy and HPLC were used to quantify thermodegradation - to determine a decrease in the amount of the growth factors concerned due to their thermodegradation. It was proved that thermodegradation affects 0.5 to 40% of the original content; this range was determined by two independent methods.
