Utilization of tractors: effects of varying operating conditions in tillage

Tractor engines are not used to capacity when ploughing. Using the example of a sloped plot, it is demonstrated that with a gear selection adjusted to tractive power requirements hardly any working time and costs can be saved. A tillage intensity, adjusted to the soils productive capacity, might also have additional requirements for ploughing.
