Report on agronomy research carried out by the ODA clove research project in Unguja between August 1982 and September 1989
1990
Martin, P.J.
This technical report presents detailed results of the most important agronomy research which was carried out by the Clove Research Project during 7 years of work in Unguja (August 1982 to September 1989). There are two main objectives in producing this Report. Firstly, to present the results of research so that they can be used as a basis for making decisions on future extension or research priorities. Secondly, to provide a record, for the use of future workers, of results which might otherwise be lost; the preservation of such information is particularly important with tree crops like cloves because experiments with them usually have to run for several years. This report is very much concerned with details of individual experiments; readers who are more interested in general account of clove cultivation in Zanzibar are directed to the Zanzibar Clove Cultivation Manual which has been produced by the Clove Research Project
