Tables of the form height number, timber and the quantity of assortments prepared for the European fir

By way of data processing of fir tree stem measurements, the possibility, accuracy and reliability in the calculations of the volume, form heigt number, the quantity of assortments prepared and the yield of fir stems were established. Breast-height diameters, the length and usable stem length were taken as independent variables in calculations. Calculation formulas have been prepared, their applicability and accuracy have been estimated and corresponding tables have been elaborated for the European fir. Calculation errors can be decreased by half if, together with the breast-height diameter, another diameter, higher in the stem, is taken into consideration in calculations.
