Mass yield in dry matter, crude nutrients and energy were determined in the case of graduated levels of nitrogen fertilization (0, 100, 200, 400 kg N/ha) and constant level of PK fertilization. Nutritive value of grassland and its corrected energy value were calculated on the basis of in vivo digestibility coefficients and N-matters degradability values. A significant increase in dry matter production was found. Corrected values of NEL and ME decrease proportionally to the increasing level of N-fertilization. As for production of nitrogen nutrients and energy, graduated levels comply with increasing fertilization level, but PDI values are considerably lower. The increase of ME production corrected in GJ is not significant; so it could be considered as a trend. The results demonstrate limited efficacy of grassland fertilization in grazing systems utilizing award as a unique nutritive source for grazed animals.
