German. Aus proteinfreier Nahrung wurden mehr endogene Aminosaeuren (EAA) ausgeschieden als in der Regressionsmethode bestimmt. Blinddarmentfernung hatte keinen Einfluss auf EAA-Verluste. Bei genuechterten Tieren (24 Std.) waren die ausgeschiedenen EAA-Mengen hoeher als bei operierten. Der Gesamtausstoss von EAA bei operierten Tieren nach dem Fasten war groesser als die Werte der Regressionsberechnung angaben. Homoarginin war kein geeigneter Marker fuer die EAA-Verluste im Kot.
