Irrigation case study: Couva project; basic agricultural studies
1992
The study's aim was to demonstrate the application of irrigation in Trinidad. The study area was the Couva river catchment basin and it was selected because its water sources, soil and climatic conditions were representative of other areas in the country. A variety of irrigation methods were considered: drip, sprinkler, basin and furrow. The scheme was found to be technically feasible and economically justified.
