Leaf disease occurrence on winter barley in the Czech Republic

Disease infection was analyzed in 98 trials, 43 of them showed heavy infection at least by one of leaf diseases. Of that number, high occurrence of only one disease was observed in 28 trials, high infection by two diseases in 13 trials, by three diseases in one trial and by all the four diseases in one trial. High disease occurrence was observed in 61 cases, and namely powdery mildew - 31x (51%), leaf rust - 8x (13%), leaf blotch - 12x (20%), and net blotch - 10x (16%). Disease occurrence in individual years and severe infection by powdery mildew at locations were evaluated. The severe infection by powdery mildew was found in 72 trials.
