A successful project will always consider gender analysis in planning for a sustainable development project. Gender being a new concept, there is a tendency for manyscientists and planners to neglect it which has led to detrimental results. This paper outlines gender conceps and common terminology it also details issues and strategies in succesful resource management and sustainable development. A number of prcticle examples, constraints and suggested recommended actions affecting gender have been presented.
