English. Since recently recycling of particle- and fibreboards is gaining momentum in Germany due to stringent regulations. Recycling methods based on steam hydrolysis of particle- and fibreboards seem to evoke industrial interest. Therefore, in this work the influence of steam hydrolysis of UF-bonded particle- and medium density fibreboards (MDF) on the degradation of UF-resins therein and on the pH-value of extractives obtained by hydrolysis of boards have been investigated. Moreover, the influence of steam hydrolysis on yield and pentosan content of the lignocellulosic material was also assessed.
Show more [+] Less [-]German. Das Recycling von Holzwerkstoffen hat in den letzten Jahren in Deutschland durch eine zunehmend strenger werdende Gesetzgebung immer mehr an Bedeutung gewonnen. Derzeit scheinen Verfahren, die auf dem Prinzip der Hydrolyse durch Dampfbehandlung basieren, das Interesse der Industrie zu wecken. In diesem Zusammenhang wird in dieser Arbeit untersucht, wie sich die Dampfhydrolyse von UF-gebundenen Span- und MDF-Platten auf den Abbau des Bindemittels und den pH-Wert der Extrakte auswirkt. Ferner werden Ausbeute und Gehalt an Pentosan als Mass fuer den Abbau an Lignocellulosen ermittelt.
