Bei schwedischen Yorkshire Schweinen wurde die Wirkung von 5 Blutproteinloci (alpha 1B-Glykoprotein, Glucosephosphat-Isomerase, Phosphogluconat-Dehydrogenase, Postalbumin, Transferrin) auf Ferkelgewichte untersucht. Der Zusammenhang zwischen Transferrin Genotypen und 6 und 9 Wochen Gewichten war hoch signifikant.
